The Green Woman research

For image 3 it is inspired by the Green Woman tarot card (figure 1) the Green woman is similar to Mother Nature. The Green Woman shows up on a tarot card her meaning according to the website Parting the mists ( “The Green Woman encompasses the female archetype of wilderness and green energy. Her presence balances that of the wild man and represents the earthly manifestation.” On the Tarot card the colours are vibrant and is a striking image. The facial expression looks calming and not threatening, around the Green Woman she is covered in leaves which surround her body and hair, she also wears a gold necklace according to website tarotx (2021) this represents “the sun all year round.” Before her is a gold cup of milk and figures surrounding it, website parting the mists says, “the golden amber cup before her has within it the milk of love and nurturing and the Sheela-na-gig on its side represents the life force of all woman.” This image of the Green Woman tarot is the main focus for image 3 as it shows the Green Woman and Green Man in a different form.
