For image 3 the focus of the design is the optical illusion of the model appearing like a tarot card of the Green Woman. To achieve this illusion, the body paint needed to give the effect of looking two dimensional while still keeping the details of the face and upper body. This was quite difficult to do as it was a style the makeup artist does not create often. A trial and error was needed for image 3 to find out what colours worked well to recreate the image of the Green Woman inspired by the Wildwood tarot deck. In all trials, water activated paints (figure 1) and liquid body paints (figure 2) were used. The water activated paints needed to be slightly damp in order to create an even ombré effect. The paints would not blend it they were completely dry, and on the other hand if they were too wet some areas would become transparent, so it was difficult to build colour consistently. The best combination as a result of the trials was to use liquid paints as the base of the ombré, with water activated paints layered on top to create depth.
